Application Deadline: June 28, 2019 Apply Now

Investment: Growth-Stage companies will be competing for a $1M investment and Seed-Stage companies for a $250K investment.

We’ve teamed up with Nutrien, the world’s largest provider of crop inputs, services, and solutions, to drive ag and food tech innovation in Canada. The Nutrien-Radicle Challenge Canada has been created to transform the speed of innovation for Canadian entrepreneurs. Together we’ll find the top Growth-Stage and the top Seed-Stage ag and food tech companies in Canada, invest in them and provide access to the Radicle and Nutrien platforms to accelerate the development of technologies in the sectors.

This is our second Challenge whereby investment will be made in the most promising ag and food technologies in a specific geography (we pioneered this concept in Israel earlier this year).

After entries close on June 28, 2019, 4-6 finalists will be identified from the Growth-Stage entrants and another 4-6 from the Seed-Stage entrants. The finalists will participate in a Pitch Day Competition at an event in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in early October. The winners will not only receive the investment from Radicle Growth, but also resources to accelerate development of their companies and technologies.

Requirements to enter:

  • Companies must be based in Canada.
  • For Growth-Stage companies, a minimum of US$3M investment to date is required.
  • Seed-Stage applicants should have received a minimum of US$100K in investment, in-kind capital or have gone through an Agtech incubator or accelerator program.
